Doctor Who: 10 Ways They Could Screw Up The Peter Capaldi Era

6. Change The TARDIS

The TARDIS is quite possibly more iconic in pop culture than The Doctor himself. The blue police box is so ingrained into his history that changing it in almost any way would confuse and upset fans around the world. The console room has changed many times over the course of the show, but it always keeps a few key elements and a similar layout to make it familiar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHHTw-chJ64 While it may seem impossible to consider that the writers would change the one constant from the show's history, I would not put it past Steven Moffat. He has already changed some key parts of The Doctor's history during his time as show-runner. We now know that The Doctor is not limited to 13 lives due to being granted a new series of regenerations by the Time Lords, and he even added a Doctor to the history of the character that had never been referenced before. Sure, we all loved seeing John Hurt interact with Matt Smith and David Tennant, but that is where the story altering changes need to stop. Leave the TARDIS alone, Steven, or you will have a mutiny on your hands.
