Many River and Doctor shippers have gone on to prefer Doctor and Clara as a couple, however Ive stayed strong in my love for River and the Doctor. For that reason, The Wedding of River Song is an incredibly powerful episode as we get to see River and the Doctor wed, and the epitome of Rule 1: The Doctor lies, where the Doctor lies about being dead in order to keep the fixed point. And of course, humany-wumany things. The reason this episode is incredibly important to watch is because of the last five minutes. Its Dorium talking about the fall of the Eleventh that makes this episode so important to watch, and of course, the saying that none of us seem to be able to get rid of Silence will fall when the question is asked.
