Doctor Who: 11 Iconic Things From Matt Smith's Era

2. Rules

Doctor Who The Doctor Lies All the Doctors have had one rule: Don€™t wander off. It wasn€™t until Eleven, though, that we started getting some more. We have rules such as €œNever knowingly be serious,€ €œAlways waste time when you don€™t have any,€ and €œNever Run When You€™re Scared€ to name a few. I€™ve always loved the Doctor's rules because they€™re really great life lessons, if you think about it. I also like the fact that the Doctor has more than just €˜don€™t wander off€™ because it gives us a glimpse into his mind, and how he thinks. All of these rules come from a pure heart and a silly mind, and that's exactly what Eleven is. He cares for people, and he knows that time is sacred and people should spend it wisely. I don€™t believe that he spouts out these rules to be annoying, I think he has them because he€™s lived for so long. Of course, there is also "Rule 1: The Doctor Lies", this rule is the most prominent because he lies so that the people around him are safe. He lies so that people around him aren't scared. He lies to keep his own worries tucked away. This is the most important rule the Doctor has. There is also the fact that in A Good Man Goes to War, he mentions that he has a lot of rules because he€™s a good man. However, these rules are probably more of what we€™ve seen in every Doctor, giving people a chance, what he's learned from the Time War, etc.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
