8. When One Was Beaten Up With A Bat

There's no shame in being beaten up by a girl - especially when it's the ever-so-slightly unhinged Ace - but you would think that an intergalactic terror, and the enduring scourge of multiple Doctors would have some sort of defence mechanism against blunt-force trauma, considering how easy they are to sneak up on. Look, the simple fact is that Daleks should not be physically attackable. They have a force field, which should incinerate anyone who comes into contact with it, and yet at least two Daleks have been on the rough end of a beating by blunt force. First there was Ace, who should have been burnt to a crisp, and then there was Matt Smith's doctor, and his giant comedy wrench...
7. When They Were No More Than Cannon Fodder

There have been a number of episodes quite recently in which the Daleks gathered en masse, finally realising the age-old fan clamour to see an actual Dalek Army. Such a thing should have been beautiful, and aesthetically, that certainly was the case - but it was just the actual impact that didn't quite meet expectations. In 3 key episodes - Bad Wolf (2005), Army Of Ghosts (2006) and The Stolen Earth (2008), the gigantic, fearsome Dalek armies went out with a whimper rather than the expected bang. Bad writing in each case made the threat blunt, and in each case, all of the Daleks were blasted to smithereens without so much as a grumble of defiance.
