Eleven was a poet; a Doctor capable of spiralling speeches and meandering monologues, so it's quite fitting that one of the finest speeches of them of all, came in his final hour. Both the Doctor and Clara teared up, as Eleven teased, "He's a-coming... the Doctor," prompting Clara to remind him, "But you're the Doctor." He sighed. "Yep... and I always will be," as the lips of Who fans all quivered together. "We all change, when you think about it..." he pondered, "We're all different people all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good, you've got to keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be." "I will not forget one line of this," he continued. "Not one day, I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me." And it was with that so many fans burst into tears, before Amelia wished him goodnight. It was the farewell of a fantasy hero, fitting and fantastically grand, but it didn't forget Matt Smith; that final line said goodbye to Eleven, but also to Matt. He's been a lot of people's Doctor, and they shed a tear when he left.
