Doctor Who: 5 Good Things About Day Of The Doctor (And 5 Bad)

2. Rose Tyler's Return Made Sense This Time

Doctor Who Rose The last time Rose Tyler graced our TV screens in a Doctor Who adventure, it was a case of emotional overkill. Sure, she was crossing over to save the two universes from destroying each other, but anyone could have done that. Why was Rose Tyler the chosen one? It was "resolution" to the 10/Rose story that ended tearfully in Doomsday, and should have stayed that way. Yet when photos of Rose Tyler started showing up online, people were wondering what had happened to make her look so out of sorts. As it turned out, the ultimate weapon of sentience and destruction decided to use a not yet familiar face to help The Doctor. It helped him arrive at the conclusion that he didn't need to use The Moment to end The Time War, thus absolving himself of a LOT of guilt. Not to mention, this incarnation of Rose Tyler is the smartest, and actually the most interesting one in the series. Instead of being a doe eyed love interest for The Doctor, she actually gets a bit of quirk and excitement to her as she hints towards her own future with The Doctor.
