Doctor Who: 5 Things To Look Forward To In 'The Time Of The Doctor'

2. Regeneration Mystery

What will make 'The Time of the Doctor' that little more special will be finding out how the Doctor gains more regenerations. Something that has been on everyones lips since 1963 was how Doctor Who will carry on when the Doctor has reached his regeneration limit. And the answer is almost here! Setting up the next 50 years for Doctor Who must have been pretty difficult on Steven Moffat's behalf. It can't be easy to ensure a show carries on for another 50 years. But Moffat has done it. Whether it be good or bad (although I'm sure it's great) - Moffat has found a way to keep Doctor Who going and so that's good enough for me! It will be interesting to see how everyone will react to the plan too. With rumours going round of how it happens, it seems there will be no way the renewal of regenerations will disappoint anyone unless it is as stupid as they forget about it. That has always been my fear. Since 'The Waters of Mars' when the Doctor said that now no other Time Lords exist, he is able to do what he wants, I feared that would be how a lot of questions would be answered. I feared the regeneration limit would be forgotten about or argued that no one no longer controlled the Doctor so he could do what he wants. But the return of Gallifrey and the Time Lords seems promising enough to having a good enough reason as to why the Doctor gets more regenerations.

Name a fandom and I am probably in it. Doctor Who is my life and all I do at home is watch TV and films... In bed, with food...
