2. Give The Doctor Some Gadgets And Vehicles

On a related note, the Third Doctor loved gadgets and tinkering. Once he removed the control console from inside the TARDIS in order to work on it, and he rather famously had a bright yellow car named Bessie. He also had, in his last story, a chase scene that involved basically every vehicle known to man. Now we don€™t really need the Twelfth Doctor to have his own car, but it would be nice to see a return to the tinkering and gadgets. That role has largely been taken over by the sonic screwdriver, but a decreased dependence on that would be a welcome change anyhow. So let€™s see the Doctor tinkering on some major inner-workings of the TARIDS. Let€™s see him build a device that isn€™t the sonic screwdriver (and doesn€™t look all steampunky), that gets him out of some odd situation. Let€™s see a bit more of the Doctor as an engineer.
