Doctor Who: 6 Aspects Of Malcolm Tucker The Peter Capaldi Doctor Needs

2. The Dynamic Relationship With His Associates

The Doctor's relationships with his various companions is one of the attributes that has helped keep Doctor Who endearing to the fans worldwide. This has a lot to do with the up-and-down manner in which they interact with his various incarnations. Over the years some Doctors have meshed with their companions harmoniously; who didn't love seeing Sarah Jane and K-9 traveling with the Third and Fourth Doctors, she was not lacking in intelligence and bravery throughout their adventures. You just knew that the Doctor would do anything to keep her safe and she for him as well. But when it came to the Sixth Doctor and Peri, they showed sometimes that their relationships could be very tumultuous but they grew closer as his tenure went on. Even though the tone of their companionship may vary there has never been any doubt that the Doctor cared for them, well except for Nine and Adam but let forget about him. After Smith's handling of companions it would shake things up for Capaldi's Doctor to have a similar dynamic as Tucker does with his co-workers. Though his demeanor put off a vibe that he can't stand his fellow government workers deep down the harsh methods he uses to keep them in line is all in their best interests; keeping them employed and their party in power. This could very well shake up the on-screen dynamic between Clara and the Doctor which could make the season interesting as we see how she irons out her new relationship with her old friend.
