Doctor Who: 8 More Predictions For Season 8

2. Clara Will Leave Voluntarily At The End Of The Year

Granted, this is only if prediction one doesn't come true. Clara is the only companion to maintain a life completely separate from the Doctor. Her family didn't know about him until this last episode, and they won't want to know anything else, given that they know rather more than they wanted to. He doesn't come to Clara's school. They meet in neutral locations and go off to have adventures. Clara can walk out of the Tardis and right back into her life. It'll take one decision. Because Clara loves him, but she doesn't need him. The Doctor needs his companions, and often the companions need the Doctor €“ but not Clara. She'll probably consider doing just this in the first episode or two, now that Eleven is gone. The Doctor will have to ask her to stay, and she'll stay for a limited time. And at the end of the year, she'll have had enough. She'll leave him to it. But she'll pop in and out. She'll be there when Twelve becomes Thirteen, even if, like Amy, only for a few seconds. Vastra, Jenny, and Strax will measure other companions by her. She'll call the Doctor when she needs something, like if Cybermen are invading or she can't find a good recipe for chocolate cake.
