Doctor Who Season 8: 10 Things We Already Know

7. The Guest Stars Are Lining Up

Pink may be the only new recurring character announced so far, but the guest stars are already rolling in. The most notable guest role so far is Keeley Hawes, who has starred in shows like Ashes to Ashes, Upstairs, Downstairs and the recent, critically-acclaimed Line Of Duty. She will play Ms. Delphox, who is described as a €œpowerful out-of-this-world character with a dark secret€ that Clara and Twelve will encounter when they land on a €œstrange and puzzling planet.€ We may not know anything else about her, but she certainly looks sinister. Other guest stars include Da Vinci€™s Demons star Tom Riley and Death in Paradise actor Ben Miller. No information has been revealed about their characters, although Miller did quip that he€™s worried €œthat they'll make me leave the set when I'm not filming.€ Coincidentally, his comedy partner Alexander Armstrong appeared on the 2011 Doctor Who Christmas special playing pilot Reg Arwell. If you€™re going to bring in one half of a comedy duo, it stands to reason that the other half will have to appear at some point. More actors will be announced in the coming months, may may also include a new actor taking over the role of The Doctor€™s arch-enemy The Master. It hasn€™t been confirmed whether he€™s showing up, but since the character didn€™t show up during Eleven€™s tenure, now seems like a good time for a grand return.
