7. The Rumoured Episode Synopses List

Everyone's waiting for the episode list, and it's slowly taking shape; we know the writer and director of the first two episodes, the directors of the fourth and fifth, and we know a few writers here and there that have either announced or speculated their participation. A rumoured episode list, complete with a synopsis of each episode, has leaked however. It supposedly comes from a reliable source, though it's advised to take with a pinch of salt; the premiere is apparently called 'The Twelfth Keeper' and guest stars the Clockwork Droids from 'The Girl In The Fireplace', Clara and the Doctor apparently investigate the JFK assassination in Episode 4 and a forest in Episode 9, and the finale, according to this list, will revolve around the Master's return, and the Doctor finding Gallifrey. It's also alleged that the TARDIS will visit Pompeii along the way, hinting at a possible return cameo for Donna or Ten (or even a certain soothsayer who looked a bit like Amy Pond?). The elements rumoured in this episode list do tend to draw on classic Moffat tropes, from forests to returning monsters - even the title 'The Twelfth Keeper' is reminiscent of 'The Eleventh Hour' - so it's likely that someone has concocted it from Moffat's previous work. One of the major villains from the first episode has been actually been confirmed though...
