Almost every Doctor has this scene. That one defining moment where the effects of the Regeneration fade and they emerge in a blaze of glory that says This is the new me. I am the Doctor. The universe had better be ready. Its likely to be the biggest moment of Deep Breath as its a crucial scene for the episode, the Doctor, and most importantly; the programme itself. In the past, this particular scene has reliably been the best moment of a Regeneration story because it not only sets the standard for the new Doctor but is also a thrilling moment in itself; usually coming at the start of the episodes final act when the Doctor finally recovers, or at the climax when solving whatever crisis hes facing more or less finishes off the Regeneration and firms up who the new Doctor is. The Tenth walking out of the Tardis with a confident Did you miss me? (albeit in his pyjamas). The Eleventh stepping through a hologram of his predecessors finally suited and booted with I Am The Doctor reaching a crescendo around him. Regardless of the Doctor and circumstances, its a moment that makes audiences' spirits soar and assures them that a thorough arse-kicking is about to commence. But more than that, its the moment where the new Doctor steps out of the shadow of his predecessors and his era properly begins. Its sure to be a standout moment and is by far the one were looking forward to the most.
