Doctor Who Spoilers: 10 Story-Line Set-Ups That Will Shape Season 8

Clara successfully persuaded the 10th Doctor, the 11th Doctor and the War Doctor to prevent the destruction of Gallifrey, and to save his race from the events leading up to the end of the Time War. We assumed that the 12th Doctor would continue the 11th Doctor€™s new quest to return Gallifrey to the universe €“ to resurrect the Time Lords and return home. That€™s still up in the air. None of the five episodes from season eight that have leaked have shown this to be a narrative arc for the new season. But that doesn€™t mean that it won€™t happen. After all, the Doctor was out of regenerations €“ and they gave him more, allowing the 12th Doctor to be born. What does that mean? Have they done more than simply extend his lifespan? Think about it. The Sisterhood Of Karn brewed a potion that allowed a barely alive 8th Doctor the opportunity to direct his regeneration, creating an incarnation that could be a fulcrum for the Time War €“ the War Doctor. Isn€™t it possible that the Time Lords could have done likewise when providing him with an entirely new cycle in The Day Of The Doctor? Could they have directed the 11th Doctor€™s regeneration? It would certainly explain why€
