Doctor Who: 10 Awesome Moments From Series 6's US Two-Parter

4. The Eye Patch Lady

Starting in Day of the Moon, the face of a mysterious woman with an eye patch would appear in a variety of places, including doors and walls, but she was only visible to Amy. Her presence was unsettling. She seemed to know something about their situation but she didn't appear to hear anything Amy asked her. In many ways, she was just as chilling as the Silence. It wasn't until A Good Man Goes to War that her name and association with the Silence were revealed, but back when she first appeared in Day of the Moon, she was just one more creepy feature of the chilling Greystark Hall. Her unexpected appearance and unexplained disappearance added to the menace of the situation Amy currently faced and kept the audience on the edge of their seats (or behind the sofa). All of this reminded the audience, too, that when Moffat wants to write a creepy story, he can write a very creepy story.
