Doctor Who: 10 Best Companion Outfits

8. Rose in Parting of the Ways

Roseoutfit Rose definitely made a name for Punky Fish clothing when she wore a few of their hoodies throughout Series One. But the one I liked, was the outfit in Parting of the Ways. This particular set really looked great together. Black trousers with a white tee shirt, and a nice Punky Fish jacket to finish it off. It really suited Rose's features nicely. Her outfits worked well with the way she traveled with the Ninth and Tenth Doctors especially- always running, yet having fun and dangerous adventures. This was one of the problems female companions in the Classic series struggled with. They were given short skirts or shorts, or tight tops, which of course the audience appreciated very much. But it left the actresses freezing cold while filming, or even very uncomfortable. The New Series seemed to be more better with wardrobe for the female companions, being a bit more conservative on how much of their body could show. I think Amy has been the only one of the New Series to bring back the mini skirt since, well possibly Tegan. But Rose was more of a companion that sported trousers and tee shirts, and rather in a stylish manner as well. For quite some time in the costume/cosplay world, Punky Fish became quite popular and the jackets people had that were the same exact style as Rose, they would charge tons more than what the store actually sold them for. Simply because Rose wore it, and people knew if other fans were looking to find a Rose costume they would pay anything for the jacket.
