9. Romana in The Ribos Operation
Romana in the first form we saw her in, wore elegant style of clothing compared to her successor. The Ribos Operation is when the audience is first introduced to Romana, who appears in the Doctor's TARDIS. She always seemed to have a regal personality to her, very intellectual. And so, the outfits she tended to wear, certainly suited her. When comparing her style to Romana II, it was very elegant and sophisticated, while able to keep a rather sultry look as well for the audience. I always remembered Mary Tamm's Romana especially for this particular outfit because it stood out so much. It is very much like Lalla Ward's school girl outfit from City of Death that people tend to remember. I think because she was a Time Lord, she had to dress the part, and for the most part she did, and the outfits she wore were beautiful. In the convention world, I have only seen one version of this Romana. I think a lot of fans tend to like Romana II better, but when it comes to outfits, I have to say Romana I had better outfits.
