8. The Dream Lord
The Dream Lord took delight in toying with the Time Lord and then companions Amy and Rory. He created two worlds, one false one real and setting the lifestyles offered by the Doctor and Rory off against each other. In one world, the Doctors world, the Tardis is hurtling powerless towards a cold star, the other is an ideal pristine world where Amy and Rory live happily ever after with a baby on the way. The Dream Lord taunts all of them more and more as the situations both get out of control and ultimately Amy must choose between the man that she was to marry and the man she ran away with. And to ice the cake, pour the custard on the pudding or microwave a small child, which ever you prefer, we find out that the Dream Lord is in factThe Doctor. Pièce de résistance. A classic villain performance and a great character full of malice.
