8. The Pandorica
Besides the constant flailing arm movements and adoration with hats and bow ties (they're cool...right?), Matt Smith's 11th Doctor is known for one major thing, and that is delivering some of the most epic speeches in Doctor Who history. The Pandorica Opens showed off the Doctor's ability to give a great soliloquy as he was faced with practically every race he had ever defeated, all wanting to prevent him - and each other - from opening the Pandorica, which is said to contain something dangerous to the existence of the entire universe (to cut a very long story short). Faced with overwhelming odds, and again seemingly trapped (seriously, didn't they learn anything from the Weeping Angels!?), the Doctor lets loose with a speech that not only instilled confidence in his Roman Gladiator brigade that were defending the Pandorica, but it was enough to scare off every one of his foes, albeit temporarily, by asking them to remember what he had done to them before, and to let someone else take the first step to stop him. As it turns out, the thing that was dangerous to the existence of the universe turned out to be the Doctor himself, and many of his foes actually formed a truce in order to seal him away in the Pandorica, not realising that it wasn't the Doctor that caused the destruction, but his TARDIS. Believing he was the only one capable of piloting it, they made a critical error that could have really mucked things up, if the Doctor hadn't found a way to fix it like he always does... But just how did he get out of the Pandorica in the first place!?
