4. Matchstick Man!
A great deal of fan service was done during the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who when two of the most popular Doctors were paired together on screen. Matt Smith's 11th Doctor met up with his previous incarnation, David Tennant's 10th Doctor, and, along with the War Doctor (an until then secret incarnation of the Doctor between Paul McGann's 8th and Christopher Eccelston's 9th), not only prevented a Zygon invasion of Earth but found a way to prevent the Moment from being used to destroy Gallifrey and the Daleks. It was a busy day. This episode had many verbal sparring sessions between the two young Doctors, which seems to happen whenever a Doctor meets another version of himself (see The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors or Time Crish for more proof of this). While they would appear to not especially like each other, they do respect each other, or... themselves... However, there was another scene in this same episode which brought the fan geek-out factor to the extreme, which brings us onto...
