Doctor Who: 10 Best Moments Of The Eleventh Doctor
3. Would You Like A Jelly Baby?
Apart from using previous stock footage, no Classic Who Doctor made an appearance in the 50th anniversary episode... save one, that being possibly the most iconic Doctor himself, Tom Baker. While it isn't directly alluded to that he is the Doctor, it is hinted at, in a strong Doctor Who tongue in cheek sort of way, that the two men are indeed the same person. One day, the Doctor will retire and take over curating at the museum, while taking on a familiar past face. Tom Baker hints that Gallifrey did indeed survive and that it is out there, ready to be found. This excites the already giddy 11th Doctor beyond all else, and he sets off to begin searching for his long lost planet. Bringing back the Fourth Doctor for a cameo appearance in the 50th anniversary episode was a great nod to the history behind a great sci-fi show that had been on for half a century. Perhaps when Doctor Who reaches its 100th anniversary, they can bring back any and all surviving actors for guest spots for that grand show. Mr Baker should still make an appearance as well, seeing as he will only be around 130 or so at the time. Merely a blip in the life of a Time Lord!
