And while this one, presenting a threat to all of reality might have ultimatley been a bit of a let down come 'Journey's End', it's hard to disagree with the fact that the man knew how to get our hopes up. In a similar way to Series 5's teasing of the 'Cracks', Series 4 gave us a series long tease of the return of Rose Tyler, as well as a lot of hinting at the reasons Donna Noble is special. What this trailer did was suggest that this episode might give us something towards answering our queries about both these matters. And it did it while suggesting that the Doctor might die in the process. Of course nobody really believed that the Doctor might die, but it suggested an interesting thread for this episode. All of this, and a little bit of Bernard Cribbins, and the show had made it inevitable we'd tune in next week.
