Doctor Who: 10 Big Questions After The Witch's Familiar

2. What Is On The Confession Dial?

Given the Doctor's plan, this became a little bit of a red herring. Unless of course he believed he wouldn't escape the trap set by Davros in which case this really was his last will and testament. After the dramatic events had been resolved and the Doctor and Clara were reunited, he quietly snuck the dial into his pocket, keeping it safe once more.

So what was on that confession dial? Does it link to the reason why he fled Gallifrey? Is it simply the result of his actions saving Davros as a child? Or is it something more? It certainly adds another level of mystery to the Doctor. Remember the fob watch in Human Nature and the Family Of Blood that ended up having huge relevance come the end of Utopia?

Our guess is that we will see the confession dial again at some point in the near future...
