5. Quite The Fan

If you were given the opportunity to travel in time, who would you want to meet? Well, the Ninth Doctor finally got to meet Charles Dickens in The Unquiet Dead and, in modern terms, what followed was basically him "fanboying" over one of his idols. In a similar fashion to the Tenth Doctor's later reaction to meeting Agatha Christie in Series 4's The Unicorn and the Wasp, the Ninth Doctor feels fortunate that he - albeit accidentally - managed to bump into Dickens and it was a moment for this Doctor to cherish. He even joined forces with Dickens to save the world from the terrifying Gelth proving that sometimes it is ok to meet your heroes.
