Doctor Who: 10 Deleted Scenes You Have To See

7. We Remember

Here's another poignant deleted scene from The Doctor's Daughter in which the titular Time Lord reflects on the death of his "daughter" before being consoled by Donna Noble and inspired to continue his adventures in her honour.

To be honest, though, he was never really going to pack it in for good and the emotional impact of her death was destined to be diminished - for the viewers, at least - by the end of the episode as they saw Jenny spring back to life in its final moments. Little did her "father" know she, was actually alive and well and embarking on adventures of her very own but it's still a shame that this scene got cut because it would've served as an interesting insight into how her untimely demise had impacted our beloved hero.

Let's face it, he hasn't exactly talked about her all that much since. The plug was pulled on the conversation when Russell T Davies decided that the episode had already been sad enough which is probably fair enough. Something tells us the majority of viewers wouldn't have minded an extra layer of heartache, though, because everybody knows that sad is happy for Whovians.

If running time was an issue there were a handful of other scenes that the episode could've sacrificed. The one with Martha Jones in a bog comes to mind...
