Doctor Who: 10 Episodes Perfect For A Film Remake

10. Victory Of The Daleks (Eleventh Doctor)

Victory_of_the_daleks It€™s not a fan-favourite, it€™s not decried for being a weak episode, it€™s not even remembered that much at all. The main issue fans have with this episode is that the €˜reimagined€™ Daleks appear to have been sponsored by Skittles. Taste the rainbow. Exterminate the rainbow. This was a fun episode. It used the power of love in a slightly cheesy way, stopping Bracewell from exploding - but it worked in the wartime setting where emotions run high, and as we saw in the previous World War II-set episode, €˜The Doctor Dances€™ sometimes love really is the most powerful thing in the world. What this episode needed was a bit of a crossover. You can€™t set a Doctor Who episode in World War II these days without people crying out for the Ninth Doctor to make an appearance. Jamie! Gasmask zombies! Surely Churchill would have heard of it? Make mention of it? Slip a few extra scenes of the Eleventh Doctor just missing his past self, maybe crossing paths with an unaware Jack Harkness and you could easily pad the episode out to a ninety-minute, family friendly flick with a bigger end battle. Spitfires versus Daleks in space alone would be worth the price of admission. Fingers crossed we could get the original cast back. It€™s only been a few years€
