Doctor Who: 10 Missing Episodes We Really Need to Have!

9. The Enemy of the World (Story 040, 1967 €“ 1968, Episodes 1, 2, 4 €“ 6 out of 6 are missing)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DU2hRsg0tw WHY WE REALLY MISS IT: Patrick Troughton was ever so much fun as the Doctor, and so what could be more fun than Troughton twice? Ah, but in this case the other role he plays is a sinister, ruthless dictator known only as Salamander. The sheer joy of watching Troughton evil it up is something wonderful, and from what we can see in the one existing episode, he clearly had a grand time with it, and I think most fans would especially like to see the scene where the Doctor and Salamander meet. CHANCE FOR RECOVERY: Below Average There€™s no special drive to find this story other than the previously mentioned joy at watching Troughton in dual roles. It doesn€™t feature any major guest stars, or recurring villains like the Daleks or Cybermen. I imagine that as a result it probably wasn€™t widely distributed. It may turn up in some weird place somewhere, but I wouldn€™t hold my breath.
