Doctor Who: 10 Missing Episodes We Really Need to Have!

8. The Dalek Master Plan (Story 21, 1965 €“ 1966, Episodes 1, 3, 4, 6 €“ 9, 11 and 12 out of 12 are missing)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddzv3folJhQ WHY WE REALLY MISS IT: Daleks! Nicholas Courtney! Sara Kingdom! Daleks! This was, by all accounts, a truly epic story with the Doctor, Steven and new companion Sara Kingdom (as well as Katarina, but no one counts her), fighting the Doctor€™s most ruthless, evil enemies. Along the way, they meet Bret Vyron, played by Courtney in his first role on the series. They also meet the Monk, another renegade Time Lord previously seen in €œThe Time Meddler€. Also, one important person and Katarina both die! Plus there€™s an earlier missing episode, €œMission to the Unknown,€ that acts as a prequel to this one. For all these reasons and more, this is one that€™s high on most people€™s €œwant€ list. CHANCE FOR RECOVERY: Unlikely Despite having the Daleks in it, this story was never sold overseas and was among the first to be destroyed. This makes it extremely unlikely that we€™ll ever see them again. But that said, stranger things have happened, and in point of fact, two episodes were found in, of all places, a Mormon temple, and episode 2 was recovered back in 2004. That combined with the fact that there€™s nine missing seems to make it at least possible we€™ll see more. But I wouldn€™t hold my breath, sadly.
