Doctor Who: 10 Missing Episodes We Really Need to Have!

6. The Massacre of St. Bartholomew€™s Eve (Story 022, 1966, All 4 episodes missing)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWhLqxp6X_Q WHY WE MISS IT: So €œThe Enemy of the World€ featured twice the Troughton. This one features two times the Hartnell. Yes, he plays not only the Doctor, but also a French abbot. No word on who played the Italian costello. This is also another one of those very few stories for which we have absolutely no existing footage. Those two factors alone make this a very desirable story indeed, and that desire is increased by the fact that it introduces, at the very end, a new companion in the form of Dodo! CHANCE FOR RECOVERY: Below average This story covers a very obscure historical subject. I love history and spend a lot of free time reading about it, and even I had to look up the particulars here. So my guess is that it didn€™t get a lot of play overseas. That combined with the fact that not even a single frame remains makes me skeptical that we€™ll ever see anything from this one.
