Doctor Who: 10 Most Cringeworthy Moments Of All Time

4. David Tennant's Zoe Wannamaker Impersonation

Having established David Tennant as a brilliant Doctor in The Christmas Invasion, Russell T Davies had a suicidal Twin Dilemma moment and wrote a follow up that was camper than the Village People playing a Christmas Concert at Eurovision. Tom Baker got The Ark in Space, Jon Pertwee got The Silurians but poor Dave ended up in a leisure centre talking to a trampoline. New Earth has its decent moments but it has far more cringeworthy ones. While Billie Piper impersonating Cassandra is funny enough ("I'm a Chav!") when Tennant is possessed by the spirit of the trampoline it's a step too far and even manages to out-cringe Kate O'Mara's Bonnie Langford impression from Time and the Rani. S eeing our new Doctor, so cheeky and heroic in The Christmas Invasion, prancing around talking about his hearts playing a bassinova is tragic indeed. Thank goodness he was back to form the following week being chased around the Torchwood Estate by a werewolf. Maybe it was just some bad nightmare...
