Doctor Who: 10 Most Cringeworthy Moments Of All Time

5. Large Chunks Of Silver Nemesis

You have to wonder who was responsible for commissioning the same story twice in one season but that's what the team managed to do for the 25th Anniversary giving us two tales of the Doctor proactively taking out his two oldest foes with Time Lord technology. However, it soom became easy to tell them apart as Remembrance of the Daleks was 'Wicked!' while Silver Nemesis was utter 'Bilge Bag'. Silver Nemesis could be the story that contains more cringeworthy moments than any other. Where to start? How about the 'social workers' scene? How about when the Doctor and Ace manage to trick some Cybermen by doing an interpretive dance with an umbrella? What about the pointless cameo of Dolores Grey looking bemused throughout? Finally, who could forget some of the most astounding overacting in Doctor Who (and that's saying something) as Lady Peinforte goes bonkers, screeches with her arms in the air and leaps onto the Nemesis statue? "What do I have to do to get this cancelled?" JNT must have wondered.
