Doctor Who: 10 Most Fascinating Characters Of Series 8

10. Robin Hood

It is not unusual for a myth to be grounded in reality. Stories tend to embellish and exaggerate as they are passed from one person to another in a centuries long game of telephone. The idea that Robin Hood is based on an actual figure is not an improbable one and this particular Robin Hood is compelling indeed. While he is played for laughs he never loses a sense of underlying humanity. This man is a bit insecure and not always firm in his convictions and those qualities only make him more endearing. A big part of Robin Hood€™s charm is in the way he interacts with the Doctor. Their competitive natures and need to show off are hilarious to watch. The story is fluff but it doesn€™t matter when you can watch these two make total fools of themselves and love every minute of it.
