Doctor Who: 10 Most Unlikely Allies Of The Daleks

7. The Jagrafess

The Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe was used by the Dalek Emperor to subjugate the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire in the year 200,000.

A ceiling-dwelling, sluglike monstrosity, the Jagrafess had been secretly installed in Satellite Five to manipulate the subjects of Earth with fake news, conspiracy stories and xenophobia. This had been part of the Dalek Emperor's plan to slowly change the mindset of the human race and harvest them to create new Dalek mutants - perfect for an invasion force.

Only appearing in 2005's The Long Game, the Ninth Doctor wasn't aware at the time that this creature was in league with the Daleks. He'd later learn of Satellite Five's true purpose as a harvester in The Parting of the Ways.

Only able to survive in low temperatures, the Jagrafess was destroyed after the Doctor convinced journalist Cathica to look into the irregularities with Satellite Five's heating, causing the creature to overheat and explode.

Little is known about this monster - if it was created by the Daleks or manipulated into working for them - but it's another example of a time where the Daleks needed help to carry out their plans.
