Doctor Who: 10 Most-Viewed Scenes On YouTube Ranked Worst To Best
1. No Sir, All Thirteen! (The Day Of The Doctor)
The top spot doesn't just go to a single Doctor - it goes to all of them.
Arguably the best scene in the 50th anniversary special, this is the moment where thirteen Doctors - from Hartnell to Capaldi - join forces to freeze Gallifrey in a parallel pocket universe, saving the planet from destruction at the hands of the Daleks.
Using archive footage to make it look as though the classic Doctors are fighting alongside the modern ones, director Nick Hurran and writer Steven Moffat created a scene that probably pleased every single Doctor Who fan on the planet. If your favourite is Tom Baker, well, he's in there. If you're an Eccleston sort of person, he's here too. Or maybe you prefer the old-school likes of Hartnell and Troughton?
Whatever your tastes, they're accounted for, and considering how hard it is to please the entire Doctor Who fandom, Hurran and Moffat basically pulled off a magic trick here. Seeing all those TARDISes whizzing at the screen is a punch-the-air-with-joy sort of moment, and this is a scene that 2023's 60th anniversary special (should we get one - your move, Chibnall) will have a hard time topping.
