Doctor Who: 10 Mrs Flood Theories You NEED To Know
6. She’s Linked To The Trickster
Could the answer to Mrs Flood’s identity lie in an unmade storyline from one of Doctor Who’s spin-offs?
On two separate occasions in the Season 1 finale, we see the Sundays’ radio clock glitch. While this may just have been a side effect of Sutekh’s presence, we can’t discount the possibility that it’s something more significant (much like the TARDIS groaning in the 60th anniversary and Season 1).
And one common link between both clock glitches is Mrs Flood, who on both occasions appears in the following shot.
Another character who had a funny relationship with electricity was Sky, the child left on Sarah Jane’s doorstep in Series 5 of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Originally this was going to build to the reveal that Sky was the child of Sarah Jane’s greatest enemy, the Trickster, but this storyline never transpired onscreen due to The Sarah Jane Adventures' premature end.
Some fans were convinced that RTD was reviving this plot for Season 1, due to Ruby also being abandoned as a child. That didn't come to pass, but maybe we had the wrong person? And Russell once teased on Twitter that he has greater plans for the Trickster, so now's as good a time as any!
Harriet escaped! Her bike zoomed under the Dalek saucer, into the helicarrier of Miss Fitzpatrick's Collection, a cabal of billionaires. And far away, the Trickster smiled as another piece in his long game fell into place... But that's a story for another time #SubwaveNetwork pic.twitter.com/769IWC1Us6

If Mrs Flood is a grown-up Sky she could be the latest member of the Trickster's Brigade, serving as his harbinger. It's an elaborate setup worthy of the newly-minted God of Traps.
