10. Clara Can Use Her Knowledge Of The Doctor's Past To Save His Future
Memory is a funny thing, isn't it? Some things you can remember clear as day, even though they happened a decade ago. But something you did last month...you have a vague recollection but you can't quite pin point what actually took place or who said what. Surely for out titular Timelord, this must happen all the time. Sure he remembers the big events in his life. But every single conversation and action he committed to for over a millennia? I'm very intrigued how they're going to handle Clara moving forward. Will she have a thousand+ years of memory too? And if so, would she be able to recall them as keenly as the Doctor? It's an interesting route to take the companion - essentially she'd be up there with Timelady companion Romana, a woman who has experienced everything from the birth of the universe to its destruction and every major event in between. She'll be a walking, talking encyclopaedia of aliens and planets...every place the Doctor has visited, including his home world Gallifrey. And as we've seen many times, there are many races, many characters who have crossed the Doctor's path and would jump at the moment to exact their revenge. Imagine then that this happened but it was something that the Doctor had quite forgotten about. Clara on the over hand, having only played out those events a few months earlier may have a much clearer memory of what took place and may be in a position to warn the Doctor before it's too late. This of course, this is highly theoretical, but any discussion about Clara moving forward is going to be, because she stands as a unique companion in the course of the show's 50 year history. The only companion to have seemingly taken part in every adventure, on (and off) screen, to some capacity. Armed with that experience, she may be in a perfect position to help the Doctor solve a mystery he himself had long since forgotten about...
