Doctor Who: 10 NuWho Moments That Took Your Breath Away

1. Ten And Eleven

The run up to 2013 had been all about the 50th Anniversary, and as this list has already shown, there were a few shocks during that momentous show. But one moment that gave NuWho fans everywhere chills was a moment that fans knew was coming for months. It was announced in March 2013 that David Tennant, and along with him Billie Piper, would return for the anniversary festivities. The build up was huge amongst fans. Would the Doctor€™s interact? Would they have any chemistry? After all, both were used to being top dog. Viewers had watched the trailers, seen the stills, even jumped for joy when a tweet was posted of nothing more than Smith and Tennant€™s shoes. Doctor Who fans were booking tickets for cinemas, were dressing up and polishing off their Tenth Doctor screwdrivers. The 50th anniversary show was an extravaganza for Whovians everywhere. 'The Moment', however, that every fan was waiting for when the show started was the moment that Ten and Eleven would finally meet. It was in the middle of a forest in Elizabethan England that their two paths came together and it was truly wonderful. Tennant was cool, Smith was camp and both were equally funny. The screwdrivers, the sand shoes, the polarity hilarity. It was just a real moment of excitement. It may have been months in the making but it didn€™t change the impact that it made. Fans everywhere were left with a real feeling that the wait had been worth it - just to see these two fan favourites interact, even if only for one episode. Many wished for the two to return again and perhaps even travel together for a while, even though deep down that would only ever be a pipe dream. In the end, a meeting that had been publicised and hyped for months didn€™t let us down. A real moment of breathtaking NuWho history. What do you think of this list?
