Doctor Who: 10 Of Rory's Roriest Moments

7. Punching Hitler! Right In His Face!

Who could forgot that glorious moment when Rory went all Captain American on the Fuhrer's arse!? 2011's Let's Kill Hitler promised a lot, particularly because the title initially suggested that Doctor Who was about to go well and truly AWOL and rewrite history. Naturally that didn't happen, but neither did fans expect the relatively mild mannered Rory Pond to lay old Adolf out cold. Quite possibly one of the most delicious moments from the character's time on the show, Rory manages to prove himself the ultimate every-man by doing exactly what countless others talk about over a pint at the pub. What's perhaps most impressive and admirable about this act is that it's not just a punch for punch sake, it's more an act of heroism in order to detain Hitler and prevent him from shooting either Mel, Amy or the Doctor. Fans often mark this as the start of Rory's true character arc, going from bumbling boyfriend to an absolute badass over the remainder of his time on the show.
