7. Ongoing Consequences

The end of Series 4 of Paul McGann€™s adventures seemlessly segues into the aforementioned Dark Eyes stories (three series of which have already been released, with its fourth upcoming) and throughout these, the Eighth Doctor truly carries the weight of his past experiences. The choices he makes at the end of Series 4 are carried with him into his future stories and, more so than any other Doctor on screen, McGann adapts his performance to convey the fact that is incarnation is constantly evolving and being redefined by the events of his ongoing escapades. It's a shame Paul was never given the opportunity to showcase the continuation of his character on screen, but his audio adventures are the next best thing. For now, at least, if those ongoing rumours of a mini-series are to be believed...
