Doctor Who: 10 Reasons Clara Oswald Is The Best Companion Ever

2. She's Been There For The Doctor When He's Needed Her The Most

Seriously. What would the Doctor have done in The Day of the Doctor if Clara hadn't been there to convince him that he was still the hero she knew and loved? It goes without saying that Clara has left a lasting legacy on the show's mythology but she's also imprinted herself (both metaphorically and literally) on the Doctor's personal life, too, and in a way that no other companion has done before. The Great Intelligence, Trenzalore, regenerations and even the Great Time War itself, all of these events pushed our beloved Time Lord to his emotional limits but Clara was always there to hold his hand... or his Fez. For that, he will be eternally grateful. Even if he does insult her appearance from time to time. It's all just friendly banter.
