Doctor Who: 10 Reasons Peter Capaldi Could Be The Best Doctor Ever

1. He Could Be The Last Doctor

Peter Last With all the confusion surrounding John Hurt's incarnation (Which should be settled in the 50th anniversary special), and with all the issues surrounding regeneration in general, the twelfth Doctor could technically be the last Doctor. We've been told for ages that a Time Lord only has twelve regenerations for a total of thirteen lives. That fact has been accepted by practically everyone. If John Hurt is an official life of The Doctor, even if he's not claimed by the other Doctors, then Capaldi will be playing the last life of The Doctor. Even if that doesn't count, there's also the issue of the Metacrisis Tenth Doctor. A full burst of regeneration energy was used and that could also count as a life. However, remember that bit about regeneration confusion? Well, don't forget about River using all of her regenerations to revive the Doctor in Let's Kill Hitler. Did that just save his life or did it add to his number of regenerations? Would the Doctor know if it added to the number of lives he still has right now? Will he live this life like it could be his last? So many questions, but if Capaldi is the Last Doctor, then he'll definitely make it the best incarnation. So those are my thoughts. I'm very excited for Capaldi to take over. I'll miss Matt, of course. His song is ending, but the story never ends. Drop a comment down below and tell me your thoughts on Peter Capaldi and what you think is going to happen with the show. Tell me what you think of this piece, while you're at it. Even if you think I'm crazy, let me know.
