Doctor Who: 10 Reasons Series 7A Was Great!

4. Extra Companions

There are many that tag along briefly with or help the Doctor, no exception this series either. The first being the biggest surprise, with Jenna Louise Coleman popping up when she wasn't supposed to, although I believe her small appearance convinced many that she will be great. Next, the great Queen Nefertiti, game hunter Captain Riddell (the chemistry between them was great) and Rory's Dad, all in one! All very likable characters, especially Brian. We then had the kind sheriff, Issac, who I was a little sad at when he got killed, yet admired his sacrifice. And, I think everyone really took to Kate Stewart, especially those who watched the old Who, a lovely nod to the past. This time, River just had a small part, but I enjoyed having her around. Overall, all the extra one off companions where great to have around. You always hope that they may be seen again some day.
