Doctor Who: 10 Reasons The Eleventh Doctor Actually Sucks
10. He Spouts Annoying Catchphrases
Like, constantly. A curse of the revived series is the need to give the Doctor some kind of catchphrase. Yes, this happened in the classic series, from "Oh my Giddy Aunt!", "Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow" and "Brave Heart, Tegan", but these are Shakespeare compared to "Fantastic!" and "Allons-y". When the Eleventh Doctor arrived and shouted "Geromino!" at the close of The End of Time, a little part of many fans hopes disappeared. Luckily, "Geromino" didn't get used that much but every time it did, the nation winced. Alas, the Eleventh Doctor had an even more annoying narrative tic. Moffat liked the idea of a Doctor who thought he was cool but obviously wasn't and having him say "bow ties are cool" once was funny. However, like a comedian who doesn't know when to stop, Moffat then had him spouting variations of this throughout his tenure. "Fezs are cool!", "Stetsons are cool!" Oh, how the audience laughed at home. Except, they didn't.
