7. He's A Danger To Children Everywhere
Many have commented upon the rapport the Eleventh Doctor shares with children and it's true that this is a Doctor who relates well to youngsters. He first met a child, Amelia Pond, in this incarnation and he always had time for children, from Clara's charges to poor young George in Night Terrors. But children are vulnerable things and easily influenced. Whereas the Doctor has previously shown himself to be adept at dealing with children, he used to have a heck of a lot more responsibility about it. Quite simply, the Eleventh Doctor does not have a great track record when dealing with children. In fact, he's a downright menace. Take Amelia, for example. With the life he leads, what would make a highly evolved alien want to put a child through the perils he faces? His arrival in Amelia's garden is not a magical moment but the start for the girl of a lifetime of therapy, a child that you will not see grow up and exile to a time and place that is not your own. Not convinced? How about when Clara was a nanny and he took the two kids to deep space and almost got them killed by Cybermen? This is a Time Lord with no sense of responsibility. After all, he's just a big kid himself. But it isn't endearing. It's just highly concerning. Alas, the Twelfth's taking of Courtney to the Moon and then abandoning her there shows this is a trait he still possesses.
