No, they didn't try to take over the world with Lego. Well, not quite.
2015's toys-to-life videogame Lego Dimensions included a whole host of Doctor Who characters, including playable Doctors One to Twelve, K-9, a Dalek, and a Cybermen. With two dedicated levels, 'A Dalektable Adventure', and 'The Dalek Extermination of Earth', as well as a Doctor Who-themed Hub World, this was a dream for any Whovian and Lego fan.
Nine different Autons feature as non-playable enemies in 'The Dalek Extermination of Earth', each idling behind shop windows until the player activates Nestene 'Spearhead' Energy Units and sets them free. Raising a Lego hand to attack but strangely unable to shoot, these Autons would provide players with a Minikit prize if they were all defeated and their invasion plans thwarted.
Also appearing in a side quest in the Trenzalore area of the Hub World, players can join forces with Captain Jack Harkness - voiced by John Barrowman himself - to take on these tiny plastic menaces.
Not content with only fighting these shiny-faced foes, players are awarded a shiny Gold Brick collectable after sending them packing.
