4. The Monsters
The monsters glimpsed in the teaser trailer appear to be two distinct races. The first seen rise chillingly and simultaneously from what appears to be hospital beds. Whilst their faces remain hidden, their foreheads can be glimpsed. Speculation is rife that these are Silurians. The brief appearance is similar, so this is entirely possible. The second monster appears bigger, with a wide mouth slowly opening to reveal lots and lots of saliva. Given the icy setting it would be apt for the Ice Warriors to appear, though this glimpse indicates something different entirely. Though maybe not. Certain areas of the internet indicate that when Nu-Who received the rights to the Zygons after their years offscreen, the BBC simultaneously acquired the rights to the Krynoids. Starring in The Seeds Of Doom, the Krynoids are carnivorous alien plants with a tolerance for cold. Whilst many would prefer a new threat entirely, a returning monster always thrills.
