5. The Writer And Director
Last Christmas is penned by Steven Moffat himself, so expect a whimsical time-traveling narrative to unfold. Moffat sure does like to make things nice and complicated - a bugbear of many fans. Though given that Nick Frost has been cast as Santa one can probably expect great wallops of humour infused into the script. Moffat is quite a funny writer after all, and Nick Frost is known as a comedic actor. Directing the tale is a newcomer to Doctor Who - Paul Wilmshurst, so quite how his take on the episode will unfold remains to be seen. Hes directed shows such as Da Vincis Demons, Strike Back and Law & Order: UK, so he knows what hes doing. The show is in safe hands.
