Doctor Who: 10 Things You Never Knew About John Barrowman
5. He's The Subject Of One Of The Most Popular Internet Memes Ever
Seriously. Just wait until you get a load of this! It's difficult for any working actor to be taken seriously and they usually end up committing to each and every job that comes their way. They've got bills to pay, after all, but something tells us that John would've rather starved if he could have foreseen just how badly this... erm, performance was to be received. Let's be honest, though, it was pretty much doomed from day one. It was called Shark Attack 3: Megalodon, for God's sake, how could it not be a disaster waiting to happen? Not only was it the franchise's second sequel but it was a straight to video one, too, which basically says it all. John played researcher Ben Carpenter in the universally panned movie whose worst fears are realised when he encounters the most menacing shark to ever rule the waters. It's up to Ben, with the help of his colleague Cataline Stone, to hunt down the fierce killer and destroy it once and for all before there's no one left to stop its reign of terror. Sounds epic, right? Well, no, actually. As it turns out, the unconvincing special effects, size changing shark and bizarre dialogue have made it one of the most ludicrously films of all time and there's one line in particular that continues to get tongues wagging... and for all of the wrong reasons. In one painfully memorable scene, John's character asks his female co-star if he can take her home and eat her p*ssy which has become one of the most infamous memes in the history of the Internet with over 2 million views (and growing) on YouTube. if you want to see if she took him up on the offer (spoilers: she did), you can always buy the DVD on Amazon for 1p. They're practically giving it away, but can you really blame them?
