It should come as no surprise, given her star turn as lunatic Liaison Office Sue White in Channel 4 comedy Green Wing, that Gomez is a natural stand up comedian. Green Wing was known to allow its actors room to use improvisation during filming and the YouTube footage, filmed at the Comedy Store, makes it abundantly clear that Gomez's wit is sharper than the proverbial executioners sword. Something tells us that being on the end of a tongue lashing from her would be a chastening experience, indeed. Sadly this is only recorded footage of Gomez's routine and, in a chat with Den Of Geek in June 2015, she made a point of confirming that it would be her first and last foray into the stand up spotlight, saying "There will be no returning because there was no arriving in the first place". Shame.
