Doctor Who: 10 Things You Never Knew About Series 2 Of NuWho

1. The Stuff Of Legends

And here it is. 31st March 2006. The final scene shot on production on Series 2, and Billie Piper's last Doctor Who scene ever until she completely ruined the moment by returning more times than most people care to count. Bah, humbug. Still, it was extremely poignant at the time. The sequence, taken from the final moments of The Satan Pit, involved Rose entering the TARDIS and hugging the Doctor (if you listen very carefully, you can still hear the fangirls squeeing...) before he announces that he's "the stuff of legends" (not pompous at all, then?) and looks lovingly into beloved's eyes. Rather fitting, no? Yes, it all got a bit lovey-dovey for a minute there but surely on this instance it can be forgiven? It was the perfect way to mark the end of what had been a glorious era for the show and who wouldn't have wanted to be a fly on the wall in the studios when they called cut on Billie's tenure in the TARDIS? Suffice to say, there was plenty of Kleenex to go around and David Tennant documented the historical moment in his on set video diaries which you can watch (if you dare) here. The stuff of legends, indeed. What did you think of this list? Are there any other little known facts about Series 2 of NuWho that should've been included?
